New features include: CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER and RADEON™ Desktop Products CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER 3D Preview Enhancement Default Resolution for Clone Mode Windows Driver Model Information CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER and RADEON™ Desktop Products This release of CATALYST™ introduces CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER support for the entire RADEON™ desktop product line. CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER 3D Preview Enhancement This release of CATALYST™ introduces the ability to enable or disable the 3D Preview available in the CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER. This feature is supported on the following ATI products: RADEON™ X850 series RADEON™ X800 series RADEON™ X700 series RADEON™ X600 series RADEON™ X300 series RADEON™ 9800 series RADEON™ 9700 series RADEON™ 9600 series RADEON™ 9500 series It also introduces a pause and resume functionality to the 3D Preview. Default Resolution for Clone Mode This release of CATALYST™ introduces a default resolution setting of 1024x768 60Hz when using clone mode to enable a non-DDC CRT as a secondary display device. Windows Driver Model Information ATI Windows Driver Model (WDM) version information is now provided within the ATI CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER. This information is found within the Information Center, located in the Graphic Software tab of the CATALYST™ CONTROL CENTER. Issues Resolved in CATALYST™ Display Driver Version 5.1 The following section provides a summary of the issues that have been resolved in the latest version of CATALYST™. These include: Men of Valor: Buffering issues are no longer noticed when playing the game under Windows XP with an ATI RADEON™ 8500 or 9100 series installed Myst URU Ages Beyond Myst: Attempting to turn 180 degrees and head towards the barbed wire fence displayed within the game no longer results in the system failing to respond. This issue is known to occur under Windows XP with an ATI RADEON™ X800 XT Platinum Edition installed.
